Key Responsibilities

  1. Supply Chain Management & Coordination
  • 📦 Plan and oversee comprehensive logistics operations.
  • 🔄 Develop and implement strategic solutions for logistics and supply chain optimization.
  • 🤝 Spearhead efforts in cross-functional team management, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  1. Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
  • ✅ Ensure strict adherence to international trade regulations, customs laws, and industry standards.
  • 📊 Ensure all reports and documents required for customs are met.
  1. Stakeholder Collaboration
  • 🌍 Act as the primary liaison for the suppliers, with expertise in some language-speaking regions.
  • 🔗 Manage and negotiate relationships with logistics service providers, including freight forwarders.
  • 💬 Ability to effectively interact and communicate with foreign individuals.
  1. Operational Oversight
  • 🚚 Oversee and direct all aspects of transportation, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
  • 🏗️ Ensuring adherence to safety and UK standards.
  1. Problem Solving & Process Optimization
  • 🛠️ Identify logistical challenges and implement effective, innovative solutions.
  • 🚀 Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  1. Documentation and Customs
  • 📑 Oversee and coordinate import/export documentation and ensure efficient customs clearance.
  • 🗂️ Maintain detailed records of shipments, and regulatory compliance.

Skills and Expertise Required

Experience

  • 🕐 10+ years in logistics and supply chain management across various international markets.
  • 🌎 Proven expertise in leading end-to-end shipping operations, including air, sea, and land logistics.
  • 💼 Strong track record of optimizing processes, reducing costs, and enhancing client satisfaction.

Skills

  • 🧠 Superior organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • 💬 Outstanding communication skills in English and other language, facilitating seamless stakeholder collaboration.

Technical Proficiency

  • 💻 Extensive experience with logistics management software and tools for efficient planning and reporting.
  • 📜 Strong command of customs laws, international trade regulations, and compliance processes.
  • 🖥️ Computer software proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Education

  • 🎓 bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification and experience.
  • 🌍 Ability to effectively interact and communicate with foreign individuals.

Additional Requirements

  • 🚗 Valid UK driver’s license.
  • 🏠 Ability to work flexibly on-site and remotely as needed.
  • 💡 Preference: Proficiency in additional foreign languages will be highly regarded, enhancing communication with international clients and suppliers.
